Break, enter and theft in Salmo

On Sunday, Oct. 9 at approximately 9 a.m., a report of a residential break and enter on Second Street in Salmo was received. 

Salmo RCMP responded and requested the assistance of the Nelson Rural RCMP, Forensic Identification Section and the Police Dog Service unit.

While securing the residence for evidence examination, another report was received that three males had just attempted to break into a garage on Davies Avenue in Salmo. 

Salmo RCMP immediately responded and arrested three male subjects near the scene.   The three individuals are all under the age of 18 and their names cannot be released. 

A number of different items were seized from the males and the criminal investigation is ongoing.

All three male subjects were later released (into the custody of adults) on a promise to appear documents to attend Nelson Provincial Court on Jan. 10.
