Rescue teams search for missing chopper between Hope and Kelowna

Search and rescue teams are scouring the area between Hope and Kelowna for a missing helicopter, according to a report from CHBC-TV Kelowna.

An A Star helicopter with just the pilot on board left the Langley airport around 6:30 p.m. Friday, said a statement from the joint rescue co-ordination centre in Victoria.

It was headed towards a private residence north of Kelowna.

The centre was advised almost three hours later, at 9:30 p.m., the chopper had not arrived.
