Seventh annual B.C. Poker Championships set to go with $3 million up for grabs

River Rock Casino Resort will host the seventh annual British Columbia Poker Championships (BCPC) from Oct. 23 to Nov. 9.

This year's BC Poker Championships has an estimated prize pool of over $3 million and 18 days of tournament play.

BCPC has a history of attracting a number of professional poker players. In the previous years, talents such as Brad 'Yukon' Booth, Gavin Smith, Lacey Jones, Greg 'FBT' Mueller, Maria Ho, Liz Lieu, and Tiffany Michelle tried to take home the winning title.

Nevertheless, in 2008, Canada's own Daniel Negreanu won the BCPC and took home $370,000.

Here is the list of this year's events:

• October 25-28 - $550 No Limit Texas Hold'em Bounty Event
• October 30-31 - $1,100 No Limit Texas Hold'em
• November 2-5 - $3,000 Main Event No Limit Texas Hold'em
• November 7-9 - $5,000 High Roller No Limit Texas Hold'em
