Sparwood man charged with possessing child pornography

Following an extensive investigation, the Elk Valley RCMP executed a search warrant on a Sparwood residence.

The search resulted in the seizure of a large amount of computer equipment and electronic storage devices.

As a result of the investigation and the subsequent search, a 21-year old Sparwood resident was taken into custody and has been charged with possessing child pornography.
 
The Elk Valley RCMP worked closely with investigators from the RCMP Child Exploitation Unit from Vancouver over the past couple of months leading up to this search.
