Viewing the rings of Saturn on Saturday

Saturn is starting to tilt to face the earth showing off its legendary rings.

The best day for viewing according to the Sky News will be Saturday, April 16, just after the moonrise.

Sponsored by the Taghum Hall Society, a free amateur Saturn gazing event is open to all. Bring your telescope and lawn chair, grab some popcorn and get ready for nature's show.

The viewing will be at Taghum Community Hall, 5915 Taghum Hall Road by the old Taghum Bridge.

Moon rise: expecting (mountains in the way) appearance between 6:54 p.m. and 7:23 p.m. Saturn to follow in its path.

Bring: your telescope if you have one. If not come and look through someone else’s, bring a lawn chair and wear warm clothes.
