A man who allegedly exposed himself to three young girls remains on the loose, but police are following up leads as we speak, according to Trail RCMP top cop Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

“The Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP have followed up with one tip received from the public; however, have been able to eliminate that person from suspicious,” he said in a press update Monday.  “The investigation continues.”

Previous coverage:

On Oct. 5, at 7:53 p.m., the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP received a complaint of an indecent act near the intersection of Highway 3 B and McBride Street, in Trail. Three 10-year-old female victims were walking home when an unknown male suspect waved to the girls, commented they looked cute, and exposed his genitals through a hole in his pants. The girls ran away from the suspect to one of girls’ residences.

The male was Caucasian, approximately 20-30 years old, with dark ear length hair, brown eyes, short stubble beard, approximately 5’8″, with a slim build. The male was wearing a black zippered hooded sweatshirt, grey shorts with a hole in the crotch, black thigh-high leggings, and white flat shoes. The male was smoking a cigarette.

Please contact the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP at 250-364-2566 if you witnessed this incident or have any information about the identity of the suspect.
