Company Jump, a musical tribute showcasing the 1940s swing-music styles of the Andrews sisters (Boogie-Woogie Bugle Boy, Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, etc.), is delighted to be back to the area and touring the East Kootenays for the first time.

A hop, skip and a jump down memory lane, Company Jump brings the swinging sounds and on stage antics of the Andrews Sisters to life. Lose yourself in the music that defined a generation and leave your worries behind as the girls sing their way through some of the best-loved popular tunes of yesteryear in this comedic musical theatre production. A true family affair, this show weaves brassy and seamless vocals with swingin’ dance and plenty of audience interaction.

The show feautures three professional singers; Rossland resident Nadine Tremblay, who you may recognize asMaria from this year’s Rossland Light Opera production of The Sound of Music, and the fabulous talents of Vancouverites Andréa Isaak, and Marie West. Tremblay explains, “we are accompanied by our low maintenance virtual band, not our first pick but the only affordable option when touring a show like this one.”

The show is suitable for audiences of all ages and will entertain anyone who enjoys on-stage antics, catchy tunes, 1940’s style, and Swing. Regardless of the audience demographic everyone is encouraged to be as raucous as G.I’s serving overseas during World War II would have been!

The Company Jump tour begins in Nelson on June 27th and finishes in Trail on July 9th As Tremblay explains “It is wonderful to play the Kootenays older heritage venues that have so much character; it seems fitting for the personalities and era we play. “ Don’t miss this show, it’s high energy is guaranteed to put you in a swingin’ good mood.
