One hundred and fifty unionized employees at Kootenay Savings Credit Union have rejected the company’s latest offer by 81 per cent.

As a result, the union (Local 9705) and the company have said they are trying to set a date to sit down and begin bargaining process all over again.

Over 90 per cent of the union voted for a strike in January. Pension was the issue, but it was removed from the bargaining process when it went to arbitration.
