Surrey quartet charged after police found marijuana during road check
Four adults from the Lower Mainland have been charged after RCMP officers found almost nine pounds of dried marijuana during a Road Safety Check Sunday in Salmo.
The West Kootenay Traffic Services and lntegrated Road Safety Unit were conducting the check Sunday afternoon when a vehicle with four adults drove up to the stop.
During the road check for prohibited driving, police searched the vehicle and found 8.6 pounds of dried pot inside a locked hockey bag.
Money, knives and the vehicle were also seized as offence related
properties.
Police have charged and released four adults for possession for the purpose of trafficking and one male with Possession of Property obtained by crime.
Those charged are from Surrey.
