The City of Trail has awarded a $33,500 website upgrade contract to eSolutionsGroup, a web design company based out of Waterloo, Ontario. Fourteen proposals were submitted to the city in response to a RFP that was released on June 26 and eSolutionsGroup met all the criteria including consultation, design, development and maintenance services of the city’s website. eSolutionsGroup has vast municipal website experience and has received several awards for their work across North America.

“The goal of the upgraded website is to have an easy-to-use, modern, visually pleasing and accessible site, whether it’s from a computer, tablet or smart phone,” says Andrea Jolly, City of Trail’s communication and events coordinator. “The new website will be the hub for all of the City’s information with simple navigation and easy search functionality.”

“eSolutionsGroup’s goal for the city’s future website is to create an online experience that will capture and showcase the City, while providing citizens a better level of access to information, activities and news,” says Karen Mayfield, eSolutionsGroup president. “We will bring the City of Trail a deep breadth of experience and creativity, with a partnership approach.”

The website upgrade project was included in the city’s 2013 Budget Plan and is set to commence mid-September 2013. The public can expect to see an online survey on the city’s current website and Facebook pages in the near future; this will help determine the website needs of Trail’s citizens. The city is very excited to work with eSolutionsGroup and looks forward to successfully developing the new face of our online experience. The estimated launch date of the new site is early 2014.
