Intoxicated male removed from local business by NPD officers
A local Heritage City business required police assistance Monday to deal with an intoxicated man said Nelson Police Sergeant Corey Hoy in a NPD media release.
Hoy said Nelson Police Department received a call Monday (November 23) for service related to an intoxicated, uncooperative male in a local business.
“The male had been requested to leave by staff but refused to leave and started to become aggressive towards staff and other customers,” Hoy explained.
“Upon police arrival, the male was noted to be intoxicated and refused to identify himself. The male became physically confrontational with police and was taken into custody.”
Hoy said the male was later released when sober and is currently facing charges of resisting arrest and obstruction.
NPD called to deal with male in medical distress
Sunday (November 22) at approximately 8:11 p.m., Nelson Police Department dispatch received a call for service to an Uphill residence.
The caller said a male was in medical distress due to alcohol and drug consumption.
Police arrived to locate male was located lying on the floor. The male had injured himself while on the floor.
Police said the male was transported to a local hospital by ambulance for assessment and treatment.
