Composite sketch released after sexual assault in Surrey City Centre area

Surrey RCMP is releasing a composite sketch of the suspect who allegedly sexually assaulted and stabbed a woman on Feb. 2 in the City Centre area.
The victim was able to provide a detailed description of her attacker resulting in the preparation of a composite sketch (see attached).
The suspect is described as a black male with a slight build, 5’10” to 5’11” in height, and approximately 30 years old. He speaks with a slight accent and was wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
Surrey RCMP Special Victims Unit (SVU) is spearheading this investigation and is requesting anyone with more information to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers, if they wish to remain anonymous, at 1-800-222-TIPS or www.solvecrime.ca.

Surrey RCMP is asking for public’s assistance in identifying a suspect in a violent sexual assault that occurred in the City Centre area.
On February 2nd at approximately 2:00 am, residents in the 13200 block of 105th Avenue called police after hearing a woman screaming. The investigation indicates a woman met an unknown male and together they walked into a secluded walkway. The suspect then allegedly sexually assaulted the victim and stabbed her before fleeing the scene. A nearby Good Samaritan drove her to the hospital where she is recovering from serious but non-life threatening injuries.
The suspect is described as a black male with a slight build, 5’10 to 5’11 in height, and approximately 30 years old. He speaks with a slight accent and was wearing black pants and a black hoodie.
We do not believe there is a risk to the general public, says Cpl. Scotty Schumann. However, we are warning vulnerable and at risk women to be mindful of their personal safety. Our investigators will be working very hard to identify this suspect and bring him before the courts.
