The City of Trail is pleased to announce that Patrick Gauvreau, the City’s Roads and Ground Superintendent, has been appointed the new Utilities Superintendent of the City’s Public Works Department. Patrick will assume his role new immediately to fill the position that Chris McIsaac, the City’s new Director of Public Works, previously performed.

“Patrick is a great fit for the job,” said McIsaac. “He brings a diverse municipal engineering and management background to this new role, and I have every confidence that he will excel as the Utilities Superintendent. I have had the pleasure of working alongside Patrick for the last five years and I look forward to working with him for many more years to come.”

Gauvreau is also looking forward to the challenges the new job will bring.

“I have filled many roles in the Public Works Industry,” said Gauvreau. “Before coming to the City of Trail, I worked as the Director of Public Works for the County of Northern Lights. I enjoy serving the community and feel my experience has prepared me to oversee and manage the City’s Utilities.”

With one retirement and two job openings filled internally in the Public Works Department, the city is moving forward to recruit for the now vacant management staff position of Roads and Ground Superintendent. The job was posted on April 11, 2017 and invites eligible applicants to submit their letter of application accompanied by a detailed resume with three references by Wednesday, May 3, 2017.
