$25.9-mill winning Lotto Max ticket sold in B.C.
Someone who purchased a Lotto Max ticket in the Fraser-Nicola region for last night’s draw has millions of reasons to celebrate this weekend. The single winning ticket matched all seven numbers from across Canada to win the $25.9 million jackpot on the Feb. 22 Lotto Max Draw.
All lottery winners have 52 weeks from the draw date printed on their ticket to come forward to claim their prize. BCLC will announce the specific retail location that sold the $25.9 million ticket in the Fraser-Nicola region after the winner has come forward to claim the prize.
JACKPOT FACTS:
· The largest prizes ever won in B.C. were three $50 million Lotto Max jackpots in October 2010, March 2014 and in April 2016
· Odds of winning a Lotto Max jackpot or Maxmillion prize are one in 28,633,528 per play.
· When the Lotto Max jackpot reaches $50 million, prizes of $1 million Maxmillions are added.
Beginning May 11, customers will be able to play Lotto Max every Tuesday in addition to the regular Friday draw. The new second draw every week means lottery players will see jackpots grow more quickly than ever before.
And for the first time ever in Lotto Max history, the main jackpot will be able to grow as high as $70 million – an amount no Canadian lottery has ever reached before.
