City of Trail appoints new roads and grounds superintendent
The City of Trail is pleased to announce that Dave Moorhead has been appointed the City’s new Roads and Grounds Superintendent. Moorhead, currently working in the city’s Engineering Department, will assume his new role with the Public Works Department on April 30, 2019.
“The city received 14 applications for the position,” said David Perehudoff, the city’s CAO. “Dave is a red seal journeyman carpenter and brings strong technical knowledge and supervisory skills that he gained from previous employment. Dave has demonstrated his commitment to the city and has a very strong work ethic. We are very confident that he is the right fit for this positon and that he will enhance and complement the strong management team that has been developed at Public Works.”
Moorhead’s current position in the city’s Engineering Department, as well as a previous position he held in the Public Works Department, has provided him with a strong working knowledge of the city’s transportation services and detailed knowledge of the city’s layout.
“Dave recently completed the first year of the Civil Engineering Technologist program at SAIT in Calgary with a very high GPA. We look forward to seeing Dave excel in his new role.”
