Concert for a cause - food bank fundraiser on tap
Mark your calendar! On Saturday, Oct. 5, The Half Moon Gnarvest is rockin’ the valley for a cause!
Join us in Slocan Park for a full day and evening of amazing live music.
The day starts at noon with some of the best Folkal (local Folk) legends to be, all the while amping up into a rockin’ evening showcasing yet more local talent.
And when the music’s over, there will be a bonfire and a night of camping to send off the summer and welcome fall and winter.
Inspired by harvest season, we want to celebrate the summer’s bounty and give back to the community. So the proceeds raised by Half Moon Gnarvest will be split equally and donated to the Castlegar Community Harvest Food Bank and the Nelson Community Food Centre.
This is a rain or shine, +19 event (sorry kiddos)!
So call up the sitter, dress warm, c’mon down to rock the night away! And bring your tent or trailer to stay safe if you plan on letting loose, lots of room to camp.
“We really appreciate when area residents, businesses and/or industry think of those less fortunate, and do what they can to help out,” said Deb McIntosh, coordinator of the Castlegar Community Harvest Food Bank. “We still have many hurdles to overcome in terms of poverty and homelessness, and every little bit helps.”
