Arrow Flow Change Notification

BC Hydro would like to notify the public that the discharge rates from Arrow Lakes Reservoir will decrease noticeably on Saturday, August 27 and Sunday, August 28:    

•At 6 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, flows will decrease from 2,166 m3/s to 2,024 m3/s;

•At 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, flows will decrease from 2,024 m3/s to 1,883 m3/s;

•At 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 27, flows will decrease from 1,883 m3/s to 1,741 m3/s;

•At 6 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, flows will decrease from 1,741 m3/s to 1,599 m3/s;

•At 7 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, flows will decrease from 1,599 m3/s to 1,458 m3/s;

•At 8 a.m. on Sunday, August 28, flows will decrease from 1,458 m3/s to 1,390 m3/s.

When combined with the outflows from the Kootenay River, Columbia River levels at Birchbank are expected to decrease by 0.85 metres (2.8 feet). Please make safety your top priority when planning activities near the Columbia River.
