Council Candidate Doug E. Wilson - in his own words

My name is Doug E. Wilson. I was born and raised in the great City of Trail and I am seeking election to the Trail City Council. The City of Trail has provided me every opportunity I could ask for from sports to education and to employment. My reason for running for City Council is to give back to a city that has given so much to me and to see the City of Trail move forward in a positive direction.
I moved away at a young age to further my education. This journey took me from Kelowna to Vancouver to Australia and back. It was an easy decision to pursue my legal career in the City of Trail. I currently am a lawyer at a local law firm downtown. I am an active volunteer and member of the board of directors for The Sanctuary Children House.
My goal as a City Council is to make Trail the #1 priority when it comes to decision making. I would like to see our downtown revitalized and made safe again. I will work to support local business. I will make sure the hospital continues to develop as the best hospital in the area. I will put effort into year round community and family events for all ages. I will support our schools and maintain our recreation and sport parks. Most importantly I will find out what the people of Trail want and work towards those goals.
