Council Candidate Thea Hanson - in her own words

I am Thea Hanson and I have lived in our community for 13 years, however my family has been here for decades. I am a local REALTOR® and I have been an advocate of our community to every person that I helped relocate to our region.
I am a mother and have all of our children’s best interests at heart. I want a community that you, our children and our seniors, all feel safe in.
I am a business woman, and am self employed. I support entrepreneurs and business owners and wants to see a thriving business community. I plan, I take action, and I get results.
I have experience in governance and have sat on numerous boards. Currently I am a member of the Lower Columbia Community Development Team Society – which supports economic development, the Trail Health and Environment Committee – which governs the THEP to actively improve the environment and health of Trail, Home of Champions Society – recognizing the excellence of individuals in our community, and the Downtown Trail Improvement Committee – to work with the businesses and the city to make recommendations for ways to improve our downtown core; I am a team player committed
to making our all aspects of our community a better place to live, work and play.
In my career, I have to be a great listener, a great communicator and a problem solver. I want to encourage growth through economic development by retaining and creating the amenities that support a thriving community.
I support sustainable development whether it be new businesses or new housing development, and want share my experience and knowledge to assist in making the best decisions for the community.
I want to rebuild our relationships within city hall, within our community, and with our neighbors because we will get so much further working together!
