The Trail Smoke Eaters have acquired forward Max Potvin from the Powell River Kings in exchange for Remy Spooner and future considerations.

Potvin, a 19-year-old left-shot forward, is in his second season in the BCHL. This season Potvin has recorded 18 points in 27 games.

Potvin comes from a long lineage of hockey talent, with his father Steve, head coach of the Tucson Roadrunners in the American Hockey League and grandfather, a four time Stanley Cup champion, Denis Potvin.

The Smoke Eaters would like to welcome Max and the Potvin family to our organization and the City of Trail. We’d also like to thank Remy Spooner for his contributions to the Smoke Eaters and wish him the best in Powell River.
