UPDATE: Authorities have found the body of Greg Gritchin, no foul play suspected
The 55-year-old man reported missing on June 14, 2023, has been located. Unfortunately, on June 15, 2023, he was found deceased as a result of non-suspicious circumstance in Castlegar, BC.

On Wednesday, June 14 at 10 a.m., a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer was informed that 55-year-old Gregory Dean Gritchin of Genelle, had not been in contact with his extended family for the last four days.
This lack of contact with family is unusual for Gritchin and sparked a concerned for his well-being. The officer conducted an investigation into Gritchin’s disappearance; however, has not be able to locate him, or his grey 2018 Jeep Cherokee bearing BC licence plate LW246S.
Gritchin and his vehicle were last seen in the 100 block of Columbia Avenue, in Castlegar. Gritchin may have suffered a medical incident and his family is very worried about his state of health. Gritchin had his dog with him at the time of disappearance.

Gritchin is described as:
- Caucasian,
- 6’3 feet tall,
- approximately 250 lbs,
- Grey hair
- Brown eyes
