Nurse impersonator sentenced to 7 years in prison

A West Shore RCMP investigation that began in 2021, involving a woman who impersonated as a nurse, has led to her being convicted for several crimes, according to Cpl. Nancy Saggar.
“West Shore RCMP Serious Crimes Unit investigated 52-year old Brigitte Cleroux for using stolen and forged documents and impersonating as a nurse while working in a medical facility in View Royal,” Saggar said.
“Brigitte Cleroux was also convicted of several similar crimes in other B.C. jurisdictions and on Dec. 20, 2024, Brigitte Cleroux was sentenced to a total of seven years in prison for the crimes committed which include Assault, Using a Forged Document, Impersonation, and Fraud over $5,000,” Saggar added.
“Brigitte Cleroux has also been convicted of similar crimes in Ontario and is currently incarcerated, serving prison time in that province. This sentence will add years to her current incarceration.
“We want to thank the West Shore RCMP officers and the investigators in other B.C. jurisdictions who worked diligently throughout this investigation.”
