St. David’s Thrift Shop was robbed after a break-and-enter  late Sunday/early Monday, according to Castlegar RCMP NCOIC Sgt. Monty Taylor.

“In the morning of April 26, 2021 an employee of the Castlegar Thrift Store arrived at work to discover the store had been broken into and a small amount of cash and property stolen.  Castlegar RCMP attended to the business located in the 600 block of Columbia Avenue to discover suspect(s) had entered the business sometime between the evening of April 25 and the morning of April 26,” he said. “Suspect(s) gained entry by forcing their way in through a side door which location was somewhat concealed from public view and once inside targeted the cash register.

“Castlegar RCMP are continuing to investigate the break and enter and ask anyone with information to call RCMP at (250)365-7721.”
