It would appear someone is trying to send a message to Trail City Hall, but it’s not clear exactly what that message would be, according to Trail top cop RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.

“On July 18, the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP received a complaint about an elderly male suspect leaving a bag of garbage and a note (see above) at the front door of the Trail City Hall located at 1394 Pine Avenue,” Wcentowich said. “The incident occurred overnight and was captured on surveillance video . The RCMP are asking for help from the public identifying the suspect male and his vehicle. Anyone illegally dumping garbage within the City of Trail may face up to a $2,000 fine contrary to the Garbage and Waste Bylaw (No. 2662, 2007).”

If you have any information about this, please contact the Trail and Greater District Detachment RCMP at 250-364-2566 or CRIMESTOPPERS at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) if you wish to remain anonymous.
