Two locals appear in court today after CRU arrests

Two people are in police custody and will be attending Rossland court today, according to Crime Reduction Unit commanding officer Cpl. Darryl Orr.

“On March 7, members of the Trail Crime Reduction Unit arrested Melody Hutchinson, 23, and Trevor Isenor, 34, without incident,” Orr said. “Isenor was arrested on an outstanding warrant of arrest for being unlawfully at large.

He said police have also recommended a charge of Break and Enter against Isenor, for an incident that occurred in an East Trail residence on Jan. 11.

“Hutchinson was arrested for two counts of breaching her probation order by being in contact with Isenor contrary to that order,” he said. “Isenor and Hutchinson are well known to local police and have been held in custody. pending their court date today.”

“The Trail Crime Reduction Unit continues to monitor persons in the community under court imposed conditions to reduce crime within the City of Trail and keep the community safe.”
