“Acting on a tip from a member of the public, who identified some stolen property listed for sale on a local social media buy and sell site, the Grand Forks RCMP attended a residence in the Ruckle area in the City of Grand Forks and located some property that had previously been reported stolen,” the release said.

“While securing the recovered stolen property the RCMP members located more stolen items in the same yard.”

Police said all items were able to be identified by the rightful owners as the items had unique identifying marks.

However, RCMP said police were unable to link the items to the suspected thief and as such no criminal charges can be pursued.
