West Kootenay EcoSociety setting up in Silver City

West Kootenay EcoSociety is setting up in Silver City. Our non-profit community driven organization has recently opened an office in downtown Trail, and we’re having a grand opening on August 7. Please join us!
Wednesday, Aug. 7, from 4 -6 p.m., we’ll have an open house and refreshments to open our Trail office officially. Drop by at 954A Eldorado Street.
“We’re excited to open our second office and be a hub for volunteers and community members who care about keeping our communities healthy and sustainable while protecting wild spaces in the Lower Columbia region,” says Montana Burgess, executive director of West Kootenay EcoSociety.
EcoSociety promotes local food sustainability, supports the 100% renewable energy transition and works to protect our forests and landscapes for the community to enjoy today, tomorrow and for years to come.
“Our mandate and our work has always been about the whole of the West Kootenays so it’s very exciting for us, and our members and we hope people in the community, to be more accessible with a street front office in Trail,” Burgess says.
