Castlegar man arrested in Trail with gun, drugs, cash
A Castlegar man will be facing trafficking charges, according to Trail top cop RCMP Sgt. Mike Wicentowich.
“On June 3, 2021 at 4:43 p.m., Trail and Greater District RCMP entered into a criminal investigation after responding to a report of a possible theft in progress on Cedar Avenue. A front line Trail RCMP officer arrested a suspect without incident in the 800-block of Farwell Street.
“A search of the man resulted in the seizure of 65 grams of suspected Cocaine, 30 grams of suspected Methamphetamine and a loaded handgun.
“The 37-year-old Castlegar man was released on a $1,500 cash surety with a number of conditions. He will appear in Rossland Provincial Court on June 24, 2021, to face a number of drug trafficking and weapons related criminal charges.”
