Earth Rangers will be visiting schools in the Greater Trail Area to inspire children to help Bring Back the Wild. Through support from Teck, local students will experience the Earth Rangers School Outreach Program featuring live Animal Ambassadors demonstrating their amazing natural behaviors.

Earth Rangers is the kids’ conservation organization, dedicated to educating children and families about biodiversity and inspiring them to become directly involved in protecting animals and their habitats.

During this school year Earth Rangers plans to visit 550 schools across Canada to share our conservation message and empower students to take action to help save animals,” says Peter Kendall, executive director of Earth Rangers. “Our partnership with Teck makes it possible for Earth Rangers to visit nine schools in the Greater Trail Area providing us with the opportunity to inspire a new generation of environmental stewards.”

Presented as a full school assembly, the School Outreach Program focuses on natural science, Canadian biodiversity and conservation. Earth Rangers presenters share the stories of four, unique Canadian species with populations in decline. This year Earth Rangers is working to help the Western bumble bee, beluga whale, barn swallow and Blanding’s turtle.

Students can visit EarthRangers.com, register to become an Earth Ranger and start their own Bring Back the Wild campaign.
