The Trail Ambassador Program is calling upon all former Miss Trail Queens to come forward to help celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Silver City Days May 7-12. All former Queens are encouraged to attend as it will be a ‘once-in-a lifetime-event,’ complete with commemorative activities to honour the Queens’ past contributions to the City of Trail.

The Trail Ambassador Committee is very excited to reconnect with Trail’s past royalty,” said Bev Benson, the Trail Ambassador Committee Pageant Coordinator. “The 50th Anniversary of Silver City Days is the perfect time for a reunion and we welcome home our former ambassadors with open arms.” To participate, all former Miss Trail Queens are asked to call Eleanor Gattafoni-Robinson at 1-855-727-8852, or register with the online sign-up sheet available on the City of Trail’s Facebook page.

The reuniting of the past Queens will be just one of many exciting events happening during this year’s Silver City Days celebration. Two new ambassadors, Miss Trail and Trail Princess, will be chosen, along with various activities, events and entertainment organized by the Trail Festival Society.

About The Trail Ambassador Program:

The mandate of the Trail Ambassador Program is to enrich and enhance the lives of young women by teaching life skills and to promote the City of Trail. The seven-month program brings together area professionals to train candidates aged 15-17 in topics such as public speaking, resume writing, interview skills, tourism, Trail history, and much more. The program concludes during Silver City Days at the annual Miss Trail Pageant, when two ambassadors (Miss Trail and Trail’s Princess) are chosen. These ambassadors attend pageants and parades throughout B.C. and Washington State, promoting the City of Trail. They also volunteer at numerous local functions.
