Water main break off Columbia Avenue

Ed note: The following as a press release issued by the City of Trail:
A water main break at the 1300 block of the alley between 2nd and Columbia Avenue occurred earlier today (Tuesday). City of Trail Public Works crew members immediately arrived on site to begin assessing what is needed for the repair.
“The 1300 blocks of 2nd and Columbia Avenue currently have no water supply,” says Larry Abenante, City of Trail Public Works Manager. “We have placed a call to BC One Call so lines can be traced before any digging occurs. We hope to have the problem solved and repaired by the end of today.”
No flooding occurred and no major issues are anticipated with the water main break; however the city will provide any necessary updates as the repair progresses.
