Hockey stars of the future entertain crowds at Nelson Novice Tournament

Fun to watch were boys and girls participating in the annual Novice tournament in Nelson.
A total of five Junior Novice teams and six Senior Novice teams from Spokane, South Okanagan, Fruitvale, Trail/Rossland and Castlegar along with two Nelson squads each played three games during the weekend in the playday format.
The tournament attracted more than 500 people to the Heritage City for the annual event for boys and girls between the ages of five to eight years.
The Nelson Daily dropped by the tourney to snap a few pictures of the stars in action.
