UPDATED: Missing couple found, safe and sound
The couple reported missing has been found safe and sound, according to RCMP Sgt. Laurel Mathew.
“They had made a detour from their destination and spent the night in a camp site, with no cell service to update their family.”

The Castlegar RCMP are asking the public to keep their eyes open for a couple that has been reported missing. The couple, both in their 60s, was travelling from Penticton to Nelson to meet family, but they never arrived.
They were last heard from several km outside of Castlegar, and were believed to be travelling on Hwy 3.
The vehicle in question is a 2011 Dodge Ram 3/4 tonne pick up, medium blue in color. It has Saskatchewan licence plates on it “DQJQ”
They are towing a 30-foot 5th wheel trailer, white in color, with “Cougar” written in brown on the sides. Licence plate of the trailer is unknown at this time.
They were last heard from at 3:09 p.m. yesterday.
