On June 15, 2021 the province moved into Step 2 of BC’s Restart Plan due to decreasing COVID-19 case numbers and the dedication of British Columbians to our collective health and safety. The City of Trail extends its sincere thanks to all residents for contributing to this success and encourages everyone to maintain this momentum as we approach July 1 and beyond.

Although having limited impact on City operations, moving to Step 2 allows the City to:

  • Explore opportunities to reintroduce indoor high intensity fitness classes
  • Review fitness program and fitness centre capacities
  • Work with user groups on outdoor spectator opportunities, with physical distancing measures in place

The following COVID 19 protocols continue to remain in place during Step 2 of the BC Restart Plan:

  • Workplace safety plans
  • 3rd party user group safety plans
  • Mandatory masks in all indoor public spaces; masks recommended outdoors if physical distancing is unable to be maintained
  • Pre-registration for all activities and services
  • No spectators for indoor activities
  • Daily health screening
  • Stay home if feeling unwell

Please continue to monitor the City of Trail website, social media, and e-news as new measures are implemented in all public venues.

As the province continues to loosen restrictions, please be sure to follow all posted signage at City parks and facilities and adhere to safety plans developed by partnering sports organizations when participating in those activities.

For more information on specific programs or facilities related to Parks & Recreation Services, please call 250-364-0858 directly.

We thank you for your continued patience and cooperation.
