City braces for another major snow event
On Wednesday, January 5, 2022, Environment Canada issued a winter storm warning for the West Kootenay region, and snow accumulations of 20 to 30 cm (8 to 10 inches) of snow can be expected overnight tonight before easing off to flurries Friday morning.
Public Works crews are still cleaning up from earlier this week where the City saw over 25 cm (10 inches) of snow accumulation. We ask for your patience and understanding as crews continue to work on keeping the roads clear.
The City’s snow removal procedures and priorities are available at www.trail.ca/SnowRemoval.
