Suspect arrested in serious injury hit and run in Nakusp
Police have arrested a suspect after two pedestrians suffered injuries as a result of an alleged hit and run.
On Aug. 19, 2025, at 11:59 p.m., the Nakusp RCMP were called to a pedestrian-involved motor vehicle incident where the vehicle apparently fled the scene. Police attended and found a man suffering from serious life-altering injuries and a woman with minor injuries. Both pedestrians were transported to hospital for further medical treatment.
Through the course of the investigation, police were able to identify a suspect and associated vehicle,
said Staff Sergeant Kris Clark of the BC RCMP. Later that night, investigators located the suspect vehicle that had since been abandoned and seized it for further examination.
On Aug. 21, 2025, the suspect involved in this investigation turned himself in to the police. The investigation is ongoing.
