The Regional District of Central Kootenay is encouraging residents whose homes or contents incurred damage from floods or slides between March 15-23, 2017 to apply for Disaster Financial Assistance (DFA). The RDCK said in a media release Monday Emergency Management BC has authorized funding for those claimants who qualify and who are unable to obtain insurance to cover their losses.
