Crews respond to Wednesday night fire in Genelle

Seven KBRFR firefighters responded to a reported structure fire Tuesday night, according to Cpt. Grant Tyson.
Tyson said the call came in at 10:47 p.m.. to attend the 100 block of 12 Avenue in Genelle, where crews found two vehicles engulfed in flames.
“Flames were approaching the home,” he said, adding the fire was extinguished by 11:17 p.m., and damage was contained to the outside of the house.
The cause of the fire is being investigated by Kootenay Boundary Regional Fire Rescue.
