NDP leader Adrian Dix makes stop in Nelson

First it was the Harmonized Sales Tax.
Then it was a health care forum, which attracted 50-plus people ton the Hume room of the Hume Hotel in Nelson.
Nelson/Creston MLA Michelle Mungall had the leader of the NDP, Adrian Dix, running on all cylinders Monday through the streets of the Heritage City promoting his message.
The day began outside the Canada Post Office on Vernon Street Monday afternoon with the Meet at the Mailbox rally to discuss the dark side of the HST.
The HST came into effect in B.C. July 1, 2010.
The rally is the seventh for Mungall, with stops in Kaslo, Argenta, Balfour, Proctor, Ymir, Salmo and Creston.
The way the HST was introduced by then B.C. Premier Gordon Campbell upset many British Columbians, including Dix who said the tax benefits business on the backs of ordinary citizens.
Then it was onto the Hume Hotel for a public forum on health care.
A series of speakers spoke before Dix addressed the audience.
The official leader of the opposition then took questions from the crowd.
