Robbery/assault has NPD asking for public's help

Nelson Police are investigating a robbery that occurred at approximately 3:30 a.m. on July 14 at Lakeside Park playground area.
The victim was approached and assaulted by three males who punched the victim in the face and made off with a backpack containing his cell phone, cell phone charger, clothing and wallet with money and credit/debit cards. The victim suffered cuts to his face during the assault however did not require hospitalization. The victim reported having met the three males earlier in the evening in a downtown bar, however is unsure of their identity. Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the three males involved in this robbery.
