Suspicious death inside residence in Kelowna

Kelowna RCMP are investigating the suspicious death of a 21-year-old man found dead on a couch Saturday morning after a house party.
About 20 people attended the party Friday night at a home in the 1300-block of Ethel Street, with all people known to each other.
The victim had some sort of altercation with his 22-year-old friend during the party, after which he lay down on the couch to sleep.
The resident found the man dead at 10:15 a.m. and called 911.
“Alcohol and drugs are factors in the investigation, but police cannot confirm they are contributing factors in the victim’s death at this time,” said Kelowna RCMP.
An autopsy expected to be conducted early this week should shed some light on the cause of death.
