CFSEU-BC bust Hells Angeles grow-op in Langley

Members of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit took down a second underground grow-op in the Fraser Valley in less than a month.
Four people — three men and a woman — were arrested Saturday when officers dismantled the marijuana operation found in five shipping containers buried under a fake farmyard near Langley.
A loaded handgun was also seized inside a bedroom Sgt. Lindsey Houghton of the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit said.
“The property above the bunker was constructed to resemble a small hobby farm, complete with three sheep and one pig,” Houghton said in a statement.
The operation yielded approximately 430 pot plants and was believed to be linked to the Hells Angeles motorcycle gang.
However, police feel there is no link between the Langley grow-op and the operation busted last month under a fake horse paddock in rural Mission in May.
Houghton said the Langley grow-op was powered by natural gas that was stolen from a nearby line bypassed by operators to a $100,000 industrial generator.
At least 10-12 pit-bull type dogs were found guarding the property.
“Each of the steel shipping containers had a doorway cut through it to make a continuous pathway that connected all of the containers, as well as raised walkways so workers could easily walk through the bunker from container to container,” said Houghton.
