RDCK rescinds the Stage Two Conservation Measures for Balfour
Balfour residents dodged a water bullet after the Regional District of Central Kootenay rescinded the Stage Two Conservation Measures Tuesday.
RDCK staff said an analysis of Balfour system during the past week has shown water consumption decreased.
Jason McDiarmid, RDCK Manager of Utility Services said normal Stage One measures remain in place until September 30.
Those conservation measures include no sprinkling between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.
Odd number address houses are allowed sprinkling on odd days of the calendar and even houses on even numbered days on the calendar.
These restrictions apply to only hand-watering of flowers, trees and vegetable gardens permitted at any time.
For additional information contact the RDCK at 250-252-8169 during office hours or 250-352-1504 anytime.
