UPDATED: Woman in BASE jump YouTube video arrested, released

The woman in the video of a man that BASE jumped from the Peak 2 Peak Gondola last week, and posted the video on the YouTube Wednesday, was questioned by RCMP and released.
The local resident who is originally from Ontario, was arrested Wednesday afternoon at her Whistler workplace.
RCMP said the woman has since been released on a promise to appear in court on April 2, in North Vancouver.
RCMP have recommended charges of obstruction and mischief over $5,000.
The alleged BASE jumper in the YouTube video has not yet located.
RCMP investigate man BASE jumped from gondola
Whistler RCMP are attempting to find details of a man that BASE jumped from the Peak 2 Peak Gondola last week, and posted the video on the YouTube Wednesday.
The title of the video, “McConkey Reborn,” apparently honours Shane McConkey, an extreme skier who BASE jumped from the same point on the Peak 2 Peak Gondola when it opened in 2008.
In the video a female companion in the gondola is shown from the man who was using a GoPro to film the event. The man opened the doors by hand, damaging the locks in the process.
Judging by the video, the man looks to have landed safely.
Whistler Blackcomb said in a statement the company takes tampering a lift system very seriously and continues to work with RCMP to recover costs to fix the Peak 2 Peak Gondola.
