MLA and MP offer Trail four thumbs up for Five Blooms
BC Southern Interior MP, Alex Atamanenko and Kootenay West MLA, Katrine Conroy congratulate the City of Trail on receiving Five Blooms in the Communities in Bloom International Challenge. Five Blooms is the highest award given for each category.
“What an achievement! The entire community is responsible for the continuing success of the Communities in Bloom program in Trail. I want to thank the many volunteers and the downtown businesses for all their hard work,” said Atamanenko.
“The City of Trail should be very proud of their continued success with the Communities in Bloom program and how well they have done. It is only through the dedication and hard work of the many committed volunteers that the city looks as beautiful as it does,” said Conroy.
Trail received a special mention for the IncrEDIBLE Green Route Walking Community Garden at the National Symposium and Awards ceremony in Charlottetown, PEI. The Communities in Bloom judges remarked on the abundance and diversity of vegetables being grown on the doorsteps of businesses in the heart of the city.
The International Challenge competitors are evaluated by an international jury on the accomplishments and involvement of the community as a whole.
