Fatal crash leads to charges against local woman

On November 30, 2013, at approximately 9:02 p.m., Trail RCMP were dispatched to a single vehicle motor vehicle crash involving an automobile on Hwy 3B just south of Fruitvale. Investigation has revealed that the vehicle was driven by a Linda Enoksen, 57 years old, of the Genelle area with three male passengers when the vehicle failed to negotiate a curve. The vehicle was travelling east on Hwy 3B when it went off road right and down over an embankment. A male passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene while the driver sustained very serious injuries. The other two passengers received only minor injuries.
After a lengthy investigation, Enoksen has been charged with the following.
Sec 255(3)cc – Impaired Causing Death
Sec 255(2)cc – Impaired Causing Bodily Harm
Sec 255(3.1)cc – Driver Over .08 Causing Death
Sec 255(2.1)cc – Driver Over .08 Causing Bodily Harm
Sec 249(4)cc – Dangerous Driving Causing Death
Sec 249(3)cc – Dangerous Driving Causing Bodily Harm
Enoksen’s first appearance is set for January 08, 2015.
