Trail RCMP arrest alleged drug traffickers

On Feb.12, at 8:30 p.m., a member of the Trail RCMP stopped a vehicle on Columbia Avenue in Trail. Shortly after stopping the vehicle, two of the occupants exited the vehicle and started leaving the scene on foot. The RCMP member directed the occupants back to their vehicle and both were arrested for drug releated offences. Several types of drugs were seized from the vehicle, along with approximately 12 grams of cocaine and $800 in cash.
The suspects, aged 43 and 37 years, are well known to the police and were remanded in custody to appear in Rossland court today.

Charges recommended include Possession of a Controlled substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking and Possesssion of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose.
