Three locals are potentially facing criminal charges after police sezed drugs, cash and weapons from a Robson home, according to Castlegar RCMP top cop Sgt. Monty Taylor.

“A search warrant, obtained in relation to an active police investigation into drug trafficking, was executed on a Robson home Tuesday.

“On Dec. 1, the Castlegar RCMP executed a search warrant on a residence situated in the 3700-block of Broadwater Road in Robson BC. The search warrant was authorized as part of an active police investigation into suspected drug trafficking in the Castlegar area.

“Three individuals were taken into police custody during the execution of the warrant.

“The search of the property resulted in the seizure of substances believed to fentanyl and methamphetamine. Police also seized over $2,500 in Canadian currency, a prohibited weapon, a firearm, a vehicle and other related evidence to suggest the individuals were involved in drug trafficking.

“A 31-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man, both from Robson and a 31-year-old Castlegar man each face potential drug and weapons related charges. They all have been released from police custody on bail conditions to appear in Castlegar Courts on February 10, 2021.

“Castlegar RCMP will forward the matter to the Public Prosecution Service of Canada for charge assessment.

“Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact the Castlegar RCMP at 250-365-7721.”
