Nelson Soccer grad Ryan Lewis has earned not one, but two major awards for his goal-scoring weekend on the Canada West Men’s Soccer circuit.

Tuesday, for the second time in his Thompson Rivers University WolfPack soccer career, Lewis was selected Canada West men’s soccer player of the week.

Then on Wednesday, the WolfPack forward earned the U SPORTS Men’s Soccer Player of the Week.

Lewis is the first member of the men’s soccer team to earn U SPORTS Player of the Week since James Fraser in September of 2021.

The accolades arrived after Lewis, who played all of his youth soccer in the Heritage City, scored four times during weekend Canada West home action against UBC Okanagan Heat in Kamloops.

The graduating forward scored once in the WolfPack’s 4-0 win on Friday, before exploding for a hat-trick on Saturday in an identical 4-0 victory.

The 6-foot striker has now scored 12 goals in his WolfPack career, sitting alone in fifth-place in the program record book.

Sitting in fourth place in the Pacific Division standings, Lewis and the WolfPack will be in action on the road this weekend when they face the UBC Thunderbirds and UVic Vikes.

The WolfPack conclude the season the following weekend in Edmonton against the MacEwan Griffins.
