Stolen car, and berries, found in downtown Trail
On Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. a frontline Trail and Greater District RCMP officer received a report that a vehicle stolen from Nelson was located parked on Pine Avenue, in Trail, BC.
A witness had recovered the keys from an unidentified man named Chris
nearby the vehicle. The witness contacted the owner the vehicle and reported the incident to him. The owner then contacted the Trail Detachment to report the incident.
The officer attended the scene and recovered both the keys and vehicle. The owner attended the scene and discovered that his water bottle was missing; however, the suspect had left behind a container of berries.
The officer advised against consuming the berries.
Trail crime sometimes comes with delicious snacks, as one of the owner’s friends quipped. Officers are currently investigating the local bear population as primary suspects,
